Artificial Ice Shapes

The artificial reproductions of complex ice structures are manufactured by AIIS through a patented 3D printing process. These reproductions are either based on 3D scans of real ice structures or simulation results. The aerodynamic properties of these ice replicas are comparable to those of actual ice storage and are suitable for aerodynamic testing in wind tunnels and flight tests.
